It is interesting to note that many individuals give no thought to their diet as it relates to their hair. Weight issues are often tied in with the signs and symptoms of poor hair condition. Yet the two are often not thought of as being related. Lets looks at some interesting points.
The Overweight Individual:
People that fall into this category are most often fixated on their weight problem. The problems they notice with their hair of being generally unhealthy they contribute to their overall psychological well being. They do not feel good about their body so they do not feel good about their hair. In fact, most often there is not much that they like about themselves.
Often overweight people will seek out diets that can give them the most weight loss in the quickest amount of time. There is varying success with these methods, but quite often, there is one distinct problem. This being the diet may not be well balanced and the body begins to lack certain nutriments. The hair is going to show the effects of this. Just as the body needs those nutriments it is also required to achieve healthy hair.
The Underweight Individual:
Just the opposite to the overweight problem when it comes to weight is the underweight person. Most often, this is caused from the lack of obtaining the healthy nutriments that are needed.
Remember as kids our parents would say to us drink your milk it makes your bones strong. The same premise applies to the good and important ingredients in our other foods. Foods rich in iron for example are a necessity for the overall health of the body. Therefore being as the hair is part of the anatomy then it too must benefit from it. This is just an example of one type of food. Think of all the other nutriments in your fruits and vegetables and what they are going to do towards proper
hair care.
Diet and Health:
Individuals who have acne problems are often concerned about their diet and it is becoming more indicative that a poor diet may contribute to their acne disorder. If this were the case then in would have an effect on the hair as well. It is interesting to note that acne consists of over active oil glands and most often acne suffers have
oily hair as well, thus establishing a link.
It must be remembered that the vitamins, minerals and nutriments that is found in foods all play a specific roll in the body. If you learn the basics of what food does for you, it will soon become evident what the healthy hair needs to keep it that way and what the poor hair condition requires to address the problem.
