Stages Of Male Pattern Baldness

Its ironic how many men will just accept baldness as part of aging or something that is hereditary so not much is to be done about stopping it. The other interesting factor is how they take the pattern that the baldness seems to follow as part of the dilemma. Not too often is the question raised as to why the pattern appears in so many people and why does the hair loss follow a specific pattern.

It is often said that baldness sneaks up slowly on the male. Then there are others who say that it seems to have happened almost over night. Actually it has been making it’s progression slowly, but at the early intervals you may not have been giving it much attention.

The first stages are the thinning around the temples. Perhaps the hair will become noticeably thin at the crown of the head at the same time. This hasn’t created panic yet because you don’t feel it’s all that noticeable. The crown area can be camouflaged with hair styling.

Next, it’s becoming a noticeable concern. The hair at the front of your head is now starting to recede and your forehead is becoming noticeably larger. It doesn’t mean its growing, it simply means there is not as much hair covering it. The crown area is no longer able to be camouflaged. Finally, there isn’t much left on the top but there is still a good amount that has surrounded this top area in a horseshoe shape.

What we had described here is the basic pattern of male pattern baldness.  Now if you are wondering why in the world the back of the hair is still growing well it has a simple explanation. The hair follicles here are not subjected to the sensitivity that is created by the Dehydro-Testosterone to the rest of the hair follicles were the baldness has occurred.

Fortunately, it’s this hair that is left strong and healthy that allows for hair transplants. Hair can be taken from here and transplanted to the bald spots.

There are several medical treatments that you can try as well to help prevent or slow down the baldness. In addition to this, there are some really promising natural hair growth products that are on the market and they have stirred up some real excitement amongst those suffering from male pattern baldness.

Although male pattern baldness seems to be a naturally occurring process in men it is imperative that they use the right hair care products and proper hair care maintenance.
