Hair Style Solutions For The Outdoors Women

Often you will see the athletic woman get so frustrated with her hairstyle she will end up just getting it all chopped off. Unfortunately in her time of need when it comes to a social function or special event there isn’t much of choice of how to style it. You can have the best of both worlds such as the athletic lifestyle combined with great looking hair, with just a little creative thought.

Normally what the active women finds most irritating is the hair flopping into the eyes all the time. Or when they are jogging it flies into their face and obstructs their view. Then there’s that horrid feeling when perspiration is on the nape of the neck and the hair is stuck to it like glue. Not to mention the itchy scalp from perspiring. That pretty well depicts the picture of the athletic hair.

The challenge is where is the happy medium between hairstyle and sports? First of all probably the easiest solution is to go with a short as possible hair style that will both suit the shape of the face and provide some leverage for style when the need arises.

There are many attractive bobs that really give a great look. If the sides, bangs and back are cut fairly short it solves a lot the problems when the person is in the athletic mode. Then if the rest of the hair is left with some length it means that some styling can be achieved. Even a short layered look hairstyle leaves a lot of options for style, but serves the purpose of being controlled when the individual is active.

If cutting the hair is just out of the question then there are still a few alternatives. There’s the old stand by ponytail. This is great for keeping the hair off the face, but it doesn’t do much for the clinging to the back of the neck. It also makes it quite hot if running in warm weather.

One option is to put the hair in the ponytail then twist it into a bun and pin it up. This is often an acceptable practice. Some girls find though that the hair feels too tight and heavy when it’s like this.

If wearing a hat isn’t a big issue then you could simply put on a baseball cap and push the hair up underneath it. This would probably work well for the medium length hair but may bug you if you have long hair.

If you sort of have a combination of different length hair then you could use a hair band for the bangs and put the rest of it into a braid. This seems to be one of the most favored solutions. The only complaint here is the time it takes to braid the hair, then the kinks one must contend with when the braid is unwound.

There are interlocking hair combs that can be quite handy for keeping the hair up and off the face and back of the neck. They work well to contain the hair but not so tightly that it’s uncomfortable. There are hairstyle solutions for the outdoors woman.
